The black and white is an iconic combination characteristic of one of the most famous designers of our times – Alexander McQueen. Even though there are some pieces which involve other combinations such as red, nude or cobalt blue, for instance, the traditional style of McQueen is depicted in his usage of the black and white. Apart from that, he is keen on adding a bit of Gothic twist to his creations, properly combining it with modern appeals. However, the Mini Heroine Satchel with floral layers is far from being Gothic.
The Heroine Line and Its Specifications
This particular satchel, being a part of the Heroine line, is one of the most characteristic creations of Alexander McQueen. This rendition, in particular, could be classified as rather unique when compared to other products from the same line. The bag is overly black and trimmed in a white color. However, it also comes with some particularly interesting pink cutouts which are playfully placed on the front of the bag. Even though it’s hard to identify the particular shape of the cutouts and classifying them as something particular, it is clear that they are floral motives, which are incredibly well-designed.
Apart from all that, the satchel is categorized as a mini model, and it comes in a particularly small size which is probably putting it in the novelty section. The bag is capable of complementing both sophisticated and not-so-official dresses. It’s an expensive piece, priced at about $2500 but that’s to be expected from anything that comes with the Alexander McQueen label on it, especially after he passed away.
